Happy Anniversary

Good evening folks, tonight I have a card to share with you that I'e made based on the challenge over at Make the Day Special blog. I love this store and since finding it I have become a regular customer.
Their challenge this month is this sketch...

and here's my card.

As you can see I followed the sketch closely.
The decorative circle was made by stamping the Persian Motif's by wPlus9 and then heat embossing. I then water coloured the image and die cut my favourite section out.  The circle is surrounded on one side with some gorgeous small sequins I got on eBay. I filled each sequin with glossy accents to make them look like gems.The card was finished with an embossed section using a Sheena Douglass embossing folder a piece of red ribbon and an old happy anniversary stamp.
I would also like to enter my card into the Dazzling Diva Challenge which uses this photo for inspiration, from which I used the beautiful colours.

Boy am I tired today, I even fell alseep on my desk!! Roll on the 26th september when we get our new bed and then hopefully I'll sleep better.

So thats all for now,
Hugs

You are my sunshine ......

This card has been finished for a few days now but it has taken til today for me to get it on my blog.
I decided last month that I would start making cards to send to my closest family and friends for no other reason other than to make them smile and let them know I love them.  I was making birthday cards, wedding cards etc and I needed a break and thought that making a card for reason in particular would be just the break I needed.
So on to today's card. This card is for my super hubby Mike who has started a new job and I wanted him to know just how proud I was of him.

I have used a free digi stamp from Paper Smooches as my first set of their stamps haven't arrived yet but hopefully they will be here soon as I really love their little critter stamps.
I started out by cutting the card base and the cloud layer with my Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies. The clouds were heat embossed with the clouds from the Into the woods stamps by Lawn Fawn. I then used distress inks to give a blended sky. Next I printed the sunshine onto watercolour card and coloured it with distress inks and a little bit of twinkling h2o's. After I cut it out on my trimmer I decided it needed to match the stitched rectangles so I popped it through the ebosser in a corner of a stitched rectangle, then turned it 180 degree's and did the other corner.
The little pennant was done by cutting on of the small stitched rectangles, stamping the diagonal stripes stamp from Clearly Besotted stamps, then putting it back through the ebosser with the corner of the die where I wanted the pointed pennent section to be.  The button is painted with twinkling h2o's and threaded with some jewellery cord my BFF Kath gave me.
Finally I wrapped more jewellery cord in a different shade around a piece of patterned paper from an old 6x6 pad I found in my cupboard.

I have followed the below sketch from Taylored Expressions

and here is my selfie

On the Paper Smooches Sparks blog I have chosen to be inspired by the yellows, oranges and blues from the inspiration photo.  You can get your fix of Paper Smooches stamps by visiting their store here.

Thank you for visiting me today and I'd love it if you would like to become a follower or left a comment.
I have more cards to share so hopefully I'll be back tomorrow,
Hugs

From the past to the present day

Good afternoon folks,
So today I thought I'd show you how my style has changed to so far.
I used to base my cards around a copic coloured image but as my fibro has taken it's toll on both my ability to do every day tasks it has also taken it's toll on my crafting ability. No longer can I sit for hours and colour. My copic's would not see the light of day for day's at the start to month's more recently and so I took the hard decision to sell them. So now I find myself looking for a new style. I know it will mainly be based on stamping and die cutting but as of yet I'm having fun playing with different styles and techniques and so haven't landed on one particular style.
So here is are two card's like I used to make, full of copic colouring and taking hours to complete.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now onto a card I've started to enjoy making.
This card uses a water colouring technique I saw on you tube (see video below)
I did make a card just like the one Jennifer does as my first attempt at water colouring and I will share that over the next couple of days. This card was my second attempt  and I was thrilled at how well it came it out.
And now to enter my first challenge on my new blog.
Sketch Saturday - the sketch below
 I put my sentiment on the die cut shape so it wasn't lost in the background.
Right off to go and tidy my desk and maybe even make a card, lol,
